Vicki began painting around 30 years ago, beginning in a hobby class painting in oils. She was immediately hooked and whenever possible, with a young family to raise, would sneak outdoors and paint for a few hours of bliss. She attended as many classes as
she could, painting mainly country scenes. On moving to Tuncurry in 1982 Vicki was in awe of the surrounding ocean, lakes and rivers and so began to paint with water, boats and reflections as her major subjects.

She joined the Great Lakes Art Society in 1985 and began attending Monday workshops. Vicki also took lessons with local artist Marilyn Cranfield, whose work continues to inspire Vicki greatly.

Over the years Vicki has branched out into Pastels, Watercolour and Acrylics, enjoying the challenge of new mediums. She has won awards for her work in Open exhibitions and has sold works to buyers from Canada, England and nationally in Australia.

Vicki is currently President of Great Lakes Art Society (Lake Street Gallery), still learning and expanding her knowledge of the art world. She is a patient tutor and enjoys the company of fellow artists and meeting visitors to the Gallery.
